Airport Roundabout Upgrade
A significant upgrade of the existing airport roundabout will deliver a long-term solution for improving reducing traffic congestion at Airport Drive and the intersection of East-West Arterial Road and Nudgee Road.
BrisConnections has been identified as the preferred bidder to design and construct the project.
The main features of the upgrade include:
- new four-lane fly-over linking the East-West Arterial Road with Airport Drive
- existing roundabout replaced by signalised intersection
- widening of the East-West Arterial Road from two to three lanes each way, and
- lane widening and surface road improvements to Airport Drive.
